Short term rental (STR) datasets scraped from Airbnb, including listing details, calendar availability, pricing, reviews, host and business details, augmented with public data sources such as OpenStreetMap.
Doorstep Analytics runs a web scraping service which gathers data from Airbnb's public facing pages, and adds calculated fields based off this data. OpenStreetMap is used as an additional source; addresses, postcodes and nearby venues are all derived from OpenStreetMap data based on the listing's co-ordinates.
A full breakdown of data sources can be found in the data dictionary.
All data provided by Doorstep Analytics is presented as provided by Airbnb. Additional calculated fields help determine spurious listings to increase the usefulness of the data.
The web scraping process takes between 6 to 48 hours, depending on the size of the location. Some listings may be removed by the host while this process is happening. The Doorstep Analytics web scraper is designed to fail forwards and remove any partial listing data, as such the dataset tends to undercount listings compared to the "true" value, although the impact of this is close to negligible.
Airbnb is known to obfuscate some property locations, this is highlighted in the MapMarkerType column in the dataset. OpenStreetMap derived data from these co-ordinates may therefore also be slightly inaccurate.
All hotel listings are not included in the datasets.
Listings which contain spurious pricing are labelled as such in the dataset, but are not removed. This may for example include a one-bed listing that is 20x the amount of the average price. These are tagged in the columns "OutlierPrice_PerBedroom" and "OutlierPrice_PerGuest". To ensure consistent website data, these listings are removed from all interactive reports on Doorstep Analytics.
Listings with only a few days availability in the year are often not picked up by the web scraper due to the pricing methods highlighed below.
Doorstep Analytics only provides data that is available on Airbnb's public pages. Data hidden behind a log in, such as a guest's information, is not provided. Review data only looks back the past two years. All pricing and calendar availability looks forward one year from the time the web scrape starts.
We have historic Airbnb data for most report locations going back two years; this is not currently included as part of the data packages due to formatting and column inconsistencies; comparing historic datasets cannot be guaranteed to be reliable. However, we are always happy to provide additional historic data on request.
As well as regularly providing Airbnb data for over 250 locations, Doorstep Analytics provides a versatile custom dataset tool. This allows you to select an area on the map and get all Airbnb data from that area. This is always a paid for service, based on the area size. This process is automatically run, but may take up to 48 hours (or in some cases 72 hours) to complete; it is not an instant data service. Upon purchase you are emailed a private web link to your data, on completion you are notified by email.
Aggregating publicly available data is legally permissible.
Doorstep Analytics is a product focused platform; our goal is to provide the highest quality and most useful datasets for short term rental data, over sales and business growth.
As of October 2026, Doorstep Analytics is run as a non-profit hobby project by UK based data engineer Simon Salamian. Paid for data packages and reports are used to subsidize server and cloud compute costs.
When you purchase a package, you get personal email correspondence, and if you are not happy with the data, we are happy to provide a refund. If you have any doubts, please get in touch.

A full data package, for a report or a custom location request, always consists of the following files:
You are provided a private link to a .zip file of the above files. This link is shareable without a log in, and expires in 6 months.
Yes, we're happy to help you with the data you need. While we generally don't give access to complete datasets for free, we can provide you with what you need to support your project.
Airbnb does not provide a standard "price per night" on its listings. Some listings do charge a fixed price on a particular date, but others deploy dynamic pricing which varies the price per night with the number of nights stay the user requests.
As such, Doorstep Analytics deploys two pricing tracking methods. The first looks at "weekday" and "weekend" prices for each listing over the year. The second uses Airbnb's flexible search feature, to get the price for a weekend, a week and the whole month, for each month in the year. This feature gets pricing over time periods that may not be picked up at the weekend or weekdays.
Currently occupancy and income data is being gathered over a prolonged time period, and will be available in datasets and on the website from early 2027. This will involve tracking 200,000+ listings and fingerprinting their likelihood of being booked in any particular month.
